Hi,
I am Svasti, the chief executive dreamer of The Kurta Lady . I am a mom of two boys, a TV anchor and a full time business woman. My passions include staging the humble Indian Kurta on a global stage and bringing an affordable line of Indian clothing to women living abroad.
What’s my Story/Inspiration
I felt the need for an affordable clothing line that would serve the Indian American diaspora locally. I could not find fun, casual and chic everyday wear Kurtas for a good price anywhere. And the saddest part was the Indian Kurtas I saw were out of fashion and looked dull or boring. That was my inspiration to start my own clothing line that would address all of this and more.
VISON and FUTURE
My vision is to expand this beyond the scope of selling only Kurtas. I want to offer a one stop shop to all of you. A shop where you have the freedom to customize, make it fit to your own unique style, Mix and match, buy just an accessory or get a dupatta if you like….I want to create a space that’s all about YOU.
